Choosing the right bottle size is all about how long you would like to go between purchasing refills. A 50ml bottle is going to be the best choice when you know that you like that particular flavor and feel comfortable committing to the largest size. Alternatively, a 10ml bottle size might be ideal if you have never tried the flavor before and don't want to commit to the larger sizes.
Average use of each bottle is highly dependent on how you vape. If you're a very heavy vaper, it's likely that you are using between 3-5ml of e-liquid per day. In this scenario, a 10ml bottle wouldn't last longer than a couple days. On the flip side, as a light vaper or occasional user, you might expect to use 1-3ml of e-liquid per day. In this case, you would get more time from each bottle and may not require a larger bottle to make it between purchases.
